Why did you like the film? In what aspect?

Kita Kita's simplicity is what drew me closer to the film. It being a two-actor film shot in a quaint suburb in Sapporo with a few scenes in the city while also being a blockbuster in the cinemas is what amazes me. The simple message of love coming out on top despite one being disabled and the other not good-looking in society's standards that the film is letting out is what makes it worthwhile. Where would you find another wholesome person who will love you even if you don't love yourself? The plot centering on great love ending tragically made me sob but also laugh at Antonio's witty retorts and corny jokes that he kept cracking all throughout the film.

Overall, Kita Kita is a true gem. It's a charming movie that gives a fresh breath to the Filipino rom-com genre. It doesn't rely on big time production and well-known actors but instead, it just relies on its simply beautiful plot.
